We had the good fortune of connecting with Zion Young- Joseph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zion, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Life is something that most of us highly value. It consists of crazy twists and turns and at times, you have to make a choice. Making a choice is taking a risk. You either stick to what you’re used to or do something you’ve never done. If you don’t take that risk, how can your position change and how can you blossom? If we didn’t believe in ourselves and step into the unknown, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We started as a group of high school friends turned into young entrepreneurs. Instead of listening to our fears, we listened to our hearts and intuitions to pursue our dreams. Although every step we took wasn’t successful or how we wanted it to be, everything still worked out in the end.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are a collective of entrepreneurs who focus on in house skills and resource development to engage the community and focus our efforts on platform curation. What separates us from other agencies is that, we are a multidisciplinary Creative Development Agency. We solely focus on community development and we strive to cater to all creative aesthetics. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my bestie to get some Thai food at CO’s then take a scroll on the belt line. We’ll go get some ice cream from Jeni’s at Krog street for dessert then go skate at cascade at night. For nightlife, I’d take em to Edgewood and go to the different lounges, clubs and restaurants to catch a vibe of downtown Atlanta. For the last day, I save the best for last. I would take em to EP’s Southside studio and take a couple of shots for memories.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out to Clayton County, Ga on The Southside. My family and Friends and also Thank you to the most high.
