We had the good fortune of connecting with Zion Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zion, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Atlanta Georgia. I come from a family of talented people who are natural singers, dancers and musicians. So entertaining is in my DNA.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe that my art is raw, real, with vintage roots. The thing that sets me apart from the others is that I am studying the great ones that came before me so that I can be flexible in the way I show my music as well as the way I perform on stage. The thing I am most excited about is what the future has to offer. When you put hard work, strategic planning, and consistency together I believe you have a recipe for success. I’ve come to where I am today by putting in countless hours of endless singing , dancing, building relationships and paying my dues. As an artist paying your dues simply means doing a lot of things for little to no monetary benefit, but it’s all apart of the grind and apart of the story. It hasn’t been easy. There are so many things that count against you as an artist, but the only way to conquer challenges in this industry is simply to go through them and learn from your successes and failures. It’s no short cut it’s just simple hard work and consistency. Some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way are Proper preparation prevents pore performance. You can’t do business with people who don’t mind business and being a student to the game will pay off in the long run if you want longevity. I want the world to know that I am here to share my gifts, my talents and my love for them through my art, and to inspire the next generation or generations after me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s so many places to visit in the A when you’re here, but if it were my best friend, I’d take them to Traffik Atl for a night out. The next day, we’d probably go to Mary Macs to eat some good ole southern soul food. We’d even do something out of the ordinary like go to the Georgia Aquarium. Then top it all off at the sugar factory.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I would like to thank God, who is the head of my life. I would also like to give a big shout to my mom, who helped and managed me on this musical journey. In addition, I can’t forget my loving family and friends who are constantly helping my vision and art in whatever way they can to help me get closer to my dreams and goals.
