We had the good fortune of connecting with Zarian Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zarian, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was the end goal. The end goal being, a person who works hard for herself and is financially stable on her own. One of my favorite things to do is shop! So I knew that if there was a need that I could solve then I could create a business from it. That’s where The Style Gawd comes in. The Style Gawd helps those who have a hard time shopping for themselves or simply don’t know what items they should buy to maximize their appearance. Our goal is to make it simple for our clients to look their best!

What should our readers know about your business?
As a fashion enthusiast I share my love for fashion as well as fashion knowledge with like minded individuals as well as those looking to improve upon their look. As a personal shopper my role is to find outfits and pieces for clients for daily wear and specific events/trips. What sets me apart from others is my ability to understand my customers’ needs and boundaries. I speak positivity into my clients. My end goal is a confident client who is FLY! My journey has not been easy by far nor is it easy yet, but I keep moving forward and each day I continue to work at it and that’s when you reap success. A lesson that I’ve learned throughout my journey is to not be afraid to lean on your peers and to utilize your resources. You’ll find that most times people are willing to assist you if they can and share knowledge that they’ve learned along the way. The Style Gawd is versatile and very experienced with different age groups. Whether you want a little or a lot of help, I can help you put the best looks forward!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First Friday night you want to warm up to Atlanta nightlife so I would go to Escobar, the vibes are amazing and so is the food. Saturday if you want the BEST red velvet waffles, I suggest Nana’s Chicken & Waffles in Conyers. This place has really good food. There is music but not a party like atmosphere so just for some good brunch before you start your day. Because I’m a Shopaholic, I suggest you go shopping! Of course Atlanta is known for Lenox Square but I also recommend Buckhead Village District for additional luxury stores. Saturday night pick a club any club! The fun thing about Atlanta is there are so many clubs but also so many people so you’re likely to pick a winner and have a good time. Sunday brunch you want to go to the Hive in Buckhead. Again great food plus music plus hookah, a complete vibe. End the weekend with drinks at Jojo’s Beloved and capture some great pics! 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shout out to my mom who has and is always very supportive of every business idea I tell her. She keeps me grounded and motivated by not allowing me to give up on myself. I appreciate that most! I also want to shout out my sister Akiva as well as my dad. Im very thankful for my support system and I hope I continue to make them proud.
