We had the good fortune of connecting with Zandres Tate and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zandres, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
I’m happiest when I’m being innovative and free in my craft. I enjoy expressing my creativity by brainstorming new looks and learning new skills and techniques. Even though I am inspired by many designers, my goal is to create something new and fresh. So when I work with clients that give me creative freedom, I can really showcase my potential

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I’m always trying to be bold and different, no matter the project. I try to think of what hasn’t been done before, to really make my clients pop. My passion for designing and creating has always been there, and I brought it to light by taking a chance and really falling in love with my results after serveral trials and errors. Every time I take on a project, I’m teaching myself something new which makes me excited to apply it to the next piece. I think my biggest lesson is learning to deal with the different personalities I come in contact with and knowing how to set my boundaries but also making the interaction enjoyable for my clients so they always want to come back. I want the world to know that it’s okay to be your weird, quirky self without conforming to the world’s standards. I believe life is much better when you follow your own path.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Pensacola and we have one of the best beaches so I would definitely spend my day at the beach. Riding jet ski, parasailing, and just enjoying the beautiful water. One of my favorite restaurants on the beach is called Laplayita and they serve the best quesadillas and Margaritas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would definitely give a shoutout to my mother. She has always been a jack-of-all-trades and constantly provided our household with the tools to create. Any school project or crafty venture that my sisters and I were involved in, she always supported us and helped us bring our vision to life
