Meet Yvetta Sweat | Caterer & Private Chef

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yvetta Sweat and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yvetta, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I don’t think you should ever give up on anything, you always have to keep going no matter what. Nothing beats a failure but a try. So try, try, and try again until it works, until you get it right. As for me, because I’m a mother to three beautiful girls, giving up is not an option. I have to keep going. They depend on me to keep going and they are my driving force to do so. It’s imperative that I’m an example for them to go after all of their hearts desires and with faith and hard work anything is possible. If God puts it on your heart, Go for it! My goal is to teach them to find something they enjoy doing and work continuously in perfecting it and being the best at it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
323 Cuisine is a business here to meet all of your food needs, from private dining settings to catering large events. What sets 323 Cuisine apart from others is not only is the food good but so is the customer service. Technology has taken away the personal part of business in my opinion. You come across many businesses that only connect via email, text, social media etc and sometimes have little to no verbal communication with a person. I like to talk to my clients and brainstorm ideas together. From a phone conversation or meeting face to face it’s more of a personal experience. We’re all busy and all of our time is limited but I find it puts the client at ease, makes them comfortable and more likely to utilize your services.
How I got to where I am now business-wise is with perseverance and hard work. It was not easy but I overcame challenges by continuous improvement of my services. One lesson I’ve learned is that business boundaries are necessary. All clients are not made equal and some people aren’t meant to be your client. It’s best to serve clientele that fit your business.
I want everyone to know when you book 323 Cuisine the goal is always to give you the best customer service and even greater food.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a foodie so I enjoy dining and try new restaurants in the Metro Atlanta area. My favorite spots currently are brunch at Toast on Lennox, Chargrilled Oysters & Drinks from C&S Oyster Bar for Lunch & Happy Hour, and Dinner at Morton’s.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family deserves more than a little credit and recognition for my story. Raised by my grandparent’s I watched them work hard all of their days to create a solid foundation for their children and grandchildren. They set the tone and showed us early on what hard work and dedication will help you achieve. To this day I rely on them heavily, whether it’s for assistance with my children while handling events or even when developing and bouncing business ideas off of them. I also have a close village of my brother, aunt, and friends that help me daily and keep me motivated to do what I do.
