We had the good fortune of connecting with Yung Kendro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yung, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The bigger the risk the bigger the reward.. Everybody takes risks, rather they realize it or not. I feel that as long as you know what you are “risking” and the potential gains or losses that comes with it then go all in. From reaching out to artists, getting no sleep, and skipping school to record sessions, it’s been a lot of situations where i had to risk taking a L or gaining something out of it. Definitely played a big part in my career.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel like what sets me apart from a lot of other artists is that not only do I make music, but the fact that I know how to engineer, produce, and DJ as well. Being able to do those things has been a major factor in my career fasho. Im excited about all the music I got on the way this year, most of it is recorded and mixed by me. I don’t rap on my own beats for the most part, but I got some dope producers i work with. I got to where I am today by staying down and doing a lot of networking. I remember only using beats off youtube because thats all I had. I just kept grinding and eventually I started locking in with some of the very same producers I grew up seeing on there. Now producers be reaching out to work with me. It be crazy seeing my work pay off.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In the A, most definitely got to hit american deli get the hot with lemon pepper. If they tryna get lit might take em to magic city or something. TIP got the trap museum, thats a cool spot to check out to. Its really so much stuff you could do down here i cant even think of it all off top. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shout out to all my supporters and all of the the artists, producers, and creators I’ve worked with so far because without y’all I wouldn’t be where I am now.
