We had the good fortune of connecting with Yonisha Elmadany and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yonisha, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Creating habits has a major impact on anyone’s success. Challenging myself by learning new skills that requires a great deal of time and effort has rewarded me with amazing results and opportunities. If I don’t know how to do something, I take the time to learn. I’ve taken on client work that I didn’t know how and where to start, however, growth requires discomfort right? Did I do well on those client projects? Absolutely. I’ve taught myself to be a well-rounded creative. I wear many hats such as sound editor, cinematographer, graphic designer, photographer, and script writer. I’ve produced work for clients in all of those areas. Learning is a lifelong process which increases competitiveness and employability. The creative industry changes tremendously, therefore, never stop learning!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I create influencer videos for building social media engagement, product commercials, event recaps and etc. I’ve gotten where I am today by maintaining a positive work relationship. Delivering quality work on time has really given provided me with consistent clients and referrals. Was it easy? Yes. I started my business in Atlanta with a video referral for the oldest cognac brand in the world. I was able to network at each event and build clientele. It was the beginning of something great to happen.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to hike and spend time with nature. Some of my favorite places are Stone Mountain, Sweet Water Creek and other trails. I love food, therefore, I’m always trying new restaurants. One of my favorite restaurants is Spice House.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout Charles Mitchell, Karim Lateef, Deshawn Hyacinthe, Mimi Johnson, and Shavone Riggins. These are people who have either provided me with amazing opportunities or took the time to mentor me on how to improve my content. I greatly appreciate each and every one of them.
