We had the good fortune of connecting with Yolanda Woodruff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yolanda, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and brand, Spiritual Works, is keeping God first! He’s the reason why I even started the brand i the first place!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Spiritual Works is not just a business for me, but also a ministry to uplift and encourage those to know who and whose they are in Christ! God gave me the vision to start this business/ministry in 2020 right before COVID and at this time I was going through a rough time. When that happens I like to write down my thoughts and reference with scripture. With so much time on my hands due to COVID, my first devotional was written. I thought that was it, but God said not so! The more I sought God, the more He gave me! Now, here we are! Spiritual Works, a Christian-based business which sells devotionals I’ve written and apparel I’ve created! I am a woman who loves God with EVERYTHING that is in me! I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not, because what I’m not God is! I am a willing vessel for God and I just want others to know who He TRULY is and who they are in Him! I do that through speaking engagements and through my products! Although there was a challenge with business exposure, it has gotten better! With everything being social media based, I had to learn about business content and promoting consistently. I have learned so much in the last couple of years! I have attended several workshops, met some wonderful people, and most of all shared the goodness of God!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Downtown Chattanooga would DEFINITELY be the go to! There is so much to do! The Aquarium is a must, Coolidge Park and the Walnut bridge as well! I like to walk and enjoy the outdoors, but there’s so much more to do! Now let’s talk about food! Tupelo Honey, STIR, Mellow Mushroom, Ruby Sunshine, and Ben & Jerry’s for some ice cream! I could keep going! You can’t go wrong with downtown!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My relationship with God has been the biggest impact! Without that, I know I wouldn’t be doing this!

My children are my support system in everything that I do! They are my number one fans and cheer me on honestly and wholeheartedly when helping me to understand this new generation way of doing things.
