We had the good fortune of connecting with Yarray and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yarray, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
The habit that I think helped me succeed is always being Proactive instead of being Reactive. That mindset helps me keep order, and make deadlines.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am proud to be an alumni of FullSail University. I graduated there with a degree in Audio Engineering. However, since then I’ve managed to also start producing music, and acting as well. Getting to this point was not easy. Years of networking, practice, trial and error, and branding all aided me to get to this part of the journey. Along the way I’ve learned that you can’t rush the process, so you might as well trust the process. Everything happens for a reason, and if you truly search for the things you need to succeed you will find them when they are ready for you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, I don’t get out much. But when I do, I like to go check out Atlantic Station. I’m also a fan of Dave and Busters. It’s always a great time with friends, and it’s also kid friendly. The nightlife in Atlanta is never lacking options if that’s what you’re into. Personally, I like the vibes at Central Station on Old National.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to my audio mentor Jon Niles Jr. played a big role in getting me to this point in my career. He provided the gear and knowledge necessary to transition from a “Student” to an “Audio Engineer”.
