We had the good fortune of connecting with Yaahn Hunter Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yaahn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to create freely, so starting my own business was the best way to ensure my creative freedom! I also wanted to leave a legacy behind for my children.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started out playing drums and the organ at my fathers church, New Faith Faith Cathedral C.O.G.I.C. Gospel is rooted deep in my musicianship and lifestyle. I started listening to R&B, Neo-Soul and Hip-Hop as a kid and the sonics changed my life forever. It birthed the “Chill Vibes” feel that I have branded.

I’m really excited about making the music that I’ve always dreamed of as a kid! I’m also all about inspiring the next person to go after their purpose!

I got to where I am today by the grace of God and hard work! No one had to tell me to practice as a kid because I wanted to be the best! I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a BA Degree in Music Production & Engineering in 2012. I also picked up non music related skills such as: marketing, recording and editing videos, designing artwork etc.

It wasn’t easy watching some of my peers “pass me by” in their careers going on tour while I was studying at school. I went through a lot of mental warfare. I overcame these challenges by staying consistent and learning the value of true discipline. Everything changed in 2020! I started taking social media seriously and built a massive community of over 500,000 followers across various platforms like: Instagram, Youtube TikTok etc.. I’m using all of my skills to harness this next level of impact!

I want everyone to know that I’m here to inspire you to go after what you know is yours! That is the bedrock of my brand! Wether you’re listening to my music or watching my tutorials on youtube, I’m here to be a light!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
These questions hit different because I’m still new to Atlanta lol! I just moved here in May of 2022 from the Bay Area of California! From what I’ve been to gather so far, I’d take them to High Noon Brunchery for breakfast. Hit the Perimeter Mall for some shopping and grab some food at Maggiono’s. There’s a dope spot called “Controllerise”! It’s basically a dope chill spot to hang out at past 9pm. They have food & drinks, video games, art stations for drawing and painting and really dope music! Special shoutout to Empress Rah and STLNDRUMS!

I want to give a special shoutout to Bishop Dale C. Bronner! He’s really made an impact on my family and I!
