We had the good fortune of connecting with Xzavion Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xzavion, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My name is Xzavion Johnson known as “datniccanino” and Im from green valley Arlington known as the “valley”. Where I’m from it’s hard to really be yourself with out being judged, it’s hard to turn nothing into something. All my life I’ve been pushed away, I’ve been neglected by friends, family but it did nothing but motivate me to be me. When coming from nothing and all you know is the streets? It’s hard not to turn to it you know? I’ve been shot, I’ve been through so many life threatening events where I use all my anger, all my emotion..and put it into my music and just try to go harder and harder every time. Me Going through that really opened my eyes and told me life is precious and you only get one of em, live it the best way you can.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Im a music artist/ entrepreneur, I make hip hop & music. Im also into social media I have 15.2k on tiktok (datniccanino1) and I honestly didn’t see my self doing it. My family just told me my personality, and how entertaining I am I’d fit and it’s working out for me. But with my music, I never really seen myself making music, I always had the passion for it I loved any genre no matter what it was. I was always dancing as a kid and that’s when I knew I loved music. But what really made me wanna make music was just me not knowing how to express myself. I didn’t know how to express myself if I was mad or sad I’d just get into this state Of mind where I didn’t wanna do anything. Like when I got shot, that right there was the start of “datniccanino” I just had a story to tell and I kept going you know? And it humbled me yo the fullest they told me that life is to short, it told me that you gotta really cherish the ones you love and also your self. But I just want you guys to know who I am and who nino is because you will be seeing me more often.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
honestly, I’m gonna be totally honest with you guys I’m not rlly an go out type person but, if you ever visit Arlington, go to the lucky 7 mart in the green valley “the valley” and ask for the mozzarella sticks. You’ll thank me later.
