We had the good fortune of connecting with Xavier Summons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xavier, what do you attribute your success to?
The reason i’m successful in what i do is because of consistency the more consistent that you are means the more successful, thats goes for anybody thats successful in what they do they put the time in and just kept goin even in your. most darkest times thats when you shine the most.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from the rest is really just my mindset really because I think differently when it comes to music , I treat music as art as it should be i never reuse sounds if it sounds to much like anybody else work ill scrap it because i never want to imitate anybody art style. I always try new sounds to expand my sound library expand my sound never want to get boxed in one sound. My most proud accomplishment is probably getting signed to Sony x Beatstars thats a major accomplishment because especially where i am from people never get signed yet alone make it out, I want to be one of the first to make it where i’m from thats why i work so hard.

Getting here was no walk in the park this tuff really takes blood, sweat and tears been many times where i didn’t want ti make music anymore because of the industry and other personal things as well and sometimes it just hard to stay inspired in music if a lot of the same sound is coming out

Overcoming these obstacles taught me a lot, taught me to watch everything and everyone because theres a lot hate and jealousy in this industry and in the world
Best advice i could give is just to stay focused and stay out the way the more your in the mix the more problems you have , Keep your eye on the prize!
I just want XayOnThaTrack to be a household name.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Me and my friends go everywhere but really if we in the city we would hang out at my house or my homie Dan house, In this city you really have to know people to know where the parties are at and where everybody be at but if your looking for more excitement you can also find it downtown that usually where a lot of people go to go have fun and kick it

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my moms aka my manager , she has always been my #1 supporter stood behind me ever since i started making music and kept me from quitting music several times even tho we bump head she always got my back through thick & thin. I would also shoutout to the producers who helped along the way such as Gamer Boomin, Eskimo, Jd , Rock Tc, Jefe, Etc etc without yall support and some of the opportunities i was given i would never be in this position that im in now.
