We had the good fortune of connecting with Xanderz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Xanderz, what do you attribute your success to?
One important thing I always kept in mind was staying respectful, humble & thankful for where I am now. I’ve always had good intentions along this journey, so that helped me maintain a lot of relationships and open more doors because I could be trusted. Real hard to find in the music industry.

Being said, it’s also important to be mindful about your decisions and be careful. I’ve always been the type to trust my gut. Read the contracts with a lawyer, do your research. Being too “good” might get you caught up. Always vigilant

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It’s hard to determine what sets me apart, because it just comes out of me— but I feel like the energy I provide in my beats give off an ambience that sounds familiar, but very original. My music feels like an atmosphere with a story written inside.

So far I’m just proud of myself for staying on my grind for so many years. At this point, I think I’m on a roll where I’ve got my sound, my brand, and now it’s just getting exposure and networking. When you’ve done this for so long, you look past the beat sales and placements— I just wanna make great music and get the job done when I’m involved.

My brand started gaining more exposure once I started using the internet more often. I used to work more in-person at my hometown in New Jersey, so I was using social media just to promote locally.
I had my son in 2020 and knew that I wouldn’t be able to go out as frequently as I wanted — so I dug into the internet more and discovered Discord. That really changed the game. Met some great people and got to speak with some of the greatest producers that I looked up to & learned a book’s worth of knowledge.

If it’s one thing I wanted the world to know about myself and my brand, is that my music is an experience that’s open to anyone that wants to see for themselves. Love having fun but also dead serious about my craft

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m taking them to Chile. I’m half Chilean myself & visited many times. Absolutely beautiful.

We’re eating all the churros, chocolate & the fruit is insanely fresh and sweet. Total letdown when I got back to the US and tried the same meals. There’s something in the soil
