We had the good fortune of connecting with William Crumpler II and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi William, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
To allow God to lead and guide me. A lot of times we have in our mind a certain way things should go and how we want to get to the next level. God knows exactly how things will play out. He knows all things. There are different paths and journeys that we go on that ultimately help us in the long run. The more I trust God and embrace the journey, the more confident I am on the right path, doing exactly what I’m supposed to do, fulfilling His purpose for putting me here on this Earth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an urban beekeeper. I sell products from the hive such as honey, candles, body butters etc. and also educate kids and adults on honeybees. What sets me apart from others is my passion to educate. I strive to teach as many people the skills I’ve learned over the years to pass on my knowledge. I’m always excited to teach kids. They are the future. The only way I am where I am today is with God’s hand over my life. Nothing in life is easy. I’m learning to trust God and his process and allow Him to lead me. The different gifts and talents that God provides us with should be used to help others and not solely for personal gain. We are only here on Earth for a certain period of time , so we have to start helping each other more and pass on knowledge to others and the next generation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a beekeeper so of course I am going to take them to my apiary and we would suit up and experience the bees. There are always volunteer days at local farms, so that would definitely be something on the itinerary. I’m not really a picky eater and there are an abundance of restaurants here in Atlanta so depending on what type of food that person likes is what determines where we would go. Depending on the season we have the Falcons, Braves, Hawks, GA Bulldogs, and also many different concerts, exhibits, museums, etc. There are numerous things to do here no matter your background or what you like.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, kids, and family. They are my biggest supporters and always have my back.
