We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Victoria and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Whitney, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is GOD and the people HE placed in my life. I will never forget who and where my help comes from. I am beyond grateful that God placed individuals in my life to help me along this journey. My brand is not a “self-made” brand, and I will never refer to it as that. The support from my family, friends, loved ones, accountability group, mentors, and etc all play a vital role in the success of my brand. I remember the times I wanted to give up (I knew I could not do that), it was vision and the push from my supportive team that kept/ is keeping my brand alive. I have a saying, ” Your purpose is far greater than you. Keep going!”
Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
The Whitney Victoria brand consists of wardrobe styling and fashionable apparel for women. What sets me apart from others is my authenticity. Me staying true to who I am shows through my work and I love every moment of it. I am proud that I am living out a prayer of mine. You see, the Whitney Victoria brand will change the trajectory of my family’s legacy. I got to where I am by having faith, taking risks, having a great support system, and allowing my love for fashion/styling to create opportunities for me (your gift will always make room for you). This journey is not an easy one. there were times I wanted to give up, but I had to remember my “why”. Remember, someone’s breakthrough is attached to you walking in and fulfilling your purpose. I have learned quite a few lessons along the way:
1. Have faith but you must also do the work.
2. Time is a gift and must be used wisely.
3. Accountability is needed (don’t run from it).
4. Understand your worth! Believe In your worth! Charge what you’re worth!
5. Never comprise who you are. Integrity and character will get you into the right doors.
I want the world to know that the Whitney Victoria brand is unique and like no other. I am changing lives one outfit at time -Whitney Victoria
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would first check out Jazz on Dargan, in Florence, SC for cocktails and appetizers. I would then schedule a road trip to Charlotte, NC to get a facial from one of the best estheticians Beauty is Victoria. We would then grab a quick but great lunch at Mimosa Grill. Oh, and I can’t forget we would have to get cupcakes from Cupcake Me Away (amazing gourmet cupcakes). That evening would be filled with fun, laughter, shopping, and exploring the beautiful city of Charlotte. After a day or two in Charlotte we would ride to Columbia, SC to taste some of the best soul food from IndulgeNpts. After eating we would visit Selfie Mania, Columbia’s 1st selfie museum. I am sure we would have a great time there and create lots of batch content (my content creators know what I mean). These are just a few ideas. There are so many places to visit and explore.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I want to thank Natalie Joe for recommending me for the Shoutout series . Natalie Joe thank you for thinking of me. When I got the news about the feature, I called Natalie Joe with tears in my eyes because, it was confirmation that I am right where I need to be. I want to send a special shout out to my husband, our son, my parents/bonus parents, family, loved ones, friends, my 6am accountability group (TMCBA), mentors, customers and clients. Thank you for seeing and supporting my vision. You all mean so much to me. I am beyond blessed to have each of you in my life.
