Hi Whitney, what do you want people to remember about you?
I aspire to forge a legacy defined by fearless trailblazing, marked by unwavering boldness in the face of daunting odds, and characterized by unwavering perseverance in the midst of adversity. Throughout life’s journey, obstacles will invariably arise, particularly in the realm of entrepreneurship. It is my heartfelt desire to inspire others by demonstrating that they too possess the capability to achieve greatness. I firmly believe that our most significant constraint resides within our own minds, and once we banish self-doubt, the sky becomes the sole limit to our potential. My ultimate aspiration is for fellow creators to draw inspiration from my work, fashioning their own creations upon its foundation. I long for my art to grace spaces my feet may never tread, and for the world to recognize my creations without ever crossing paths with me in person.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My company, By Whitney B, specializes in crafting bespoke signage primarily tailored for fellow business owners. Additionally, we offer an array of event, home decor, and seasonal items. At the core of our work is a commitment to infuse modern simplicity and sophistication into every design and order. It’s our unwavering attention to detail and dedication to excellence that distinguishes us and makes our work easily recognizable.

I feel immensely fortunate to have cultivated a strong presence on social media, where I have the opportunity to showcase my creations daily. This platform has not only allowed me to build a thriving community but has also given me the chance to get to know both past and potential customers on a deeper level. Staying attuned to the ever-evolving landscape of social media trends has played a pivotal role in the significant growth of my business, and I’m truly grateful for this space to showcase my work.

However, I must admit that managing a vibrant social media presence can sometimes feel like taking on a second job. As an entrepreneur, I already wear multiple hats, and adding another responsibility can be quite challenging. The reality of entrepreneurship is that the work never truly ends, and there’s always something demanding attention. In light of this, I’ve embraced the wisdom of taking each day as it comes, a lesson inspired by the age-old adage from the good book, “leave tomorrow’s trouble for itself.” Trusting in God has been instrumental in maintaining balance while juggling multiple roles and tasks, providing the assurance that I can accomplish what’s needed within each day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My schedule can be pretty busy, so I’ve come to cherish moments of relaxation when they finally arrive. One of my absolute favorite ways to unwind is by indulging in spa days. Whenever a close friend comes to visit, it’s the first thing on my agenda to share with them. I often encourage visitors to experience the serenity of places like Chateau Elan, among other delightful spots.

When it comes to food, I have a few beloved staples that I can’t resist introducing to anyone who visits. Bar Taco, Operation Mini Donuts, and Jenni’s Ice Cream are among these cherished favorites. I take pleasure in guiding my guests to savor each of these delights, often more than once. I also have an adventurous palate and thoroughly enjoy exploring new cuisines, often making visits to various food halls like Ponce Market a delightful experience.

Being a game night enthusiast, I keep an array of board games at the ready for fun-filled evenings with friends. Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying Your 3rd Spot, and I’m eagerly looking forward to checking out ‘Beat the Boom’ soon.

I want to give the most heartfelt shoutout to my loving husband and daughter! Their unwavering love and support have been my anchor through the rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship. Their cheers and encouragement propel me to strive even harder. Specifically, I dedicate this shoutout to Joshua and Aria for all that you do and for being everything to me.
