We had the good fortune of connecting with Whata Mess and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Whata, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Yes I do have a favorite quote and it’s from the book of Proverbs “it’s better to eat vegetables in a house full of love than eat meat in a house full of strife” that quote there has truly giving me extreme will power when I thought I didn’t have it in some occasions and holes I felt I could never bring myself up out of I use it in any occasion that it requires me to use it, it’s like a reality check life card when I find myself in positions to make decisions I ask myself do I go eat meat here or should I not it plays out my options.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a Home Renovation Business that I started 5 years ago at first it was difficult do to so many different companies out there and having to get into the race full speed to make ends meet and push yourself to the next level I remodel kitchens and bathrooms also do custom wood work which I’m extremely proud of to have the knowledge to do such amazing work while it was very challenging because I just went for it with out any real financial base I knew it was all or nothing at that point I had to really dig deep and cross those early challenges I stayed poised and focus without any distractions and was able to build relationships with high level clients through out the years, which is great I was able to gain knowledge of business practice and a solid business foundation I gain stability and freedom mental freedom they say that when you quit your 9 to 5 and start your own business you work 24/7 lol it’s true.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh snap you know we have to hit the pyramids full speed ground running my best friend and myself are students of life we always watch documentaries of the pyramids it’s just amazing how these structures are here still intact with us today once we’re there I’m sure we won’t had a dull moment its up everytime we get together.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I truly would like to give a major shout out to the people who actually stayed solid with me through all my trials and tribulations who never switched up or asked for anything but genuine friendship, it’s a blessing to have yall in my life with no strings attached but true energy also a big shout out to my family who always knew I had a gift other than music to exspell out to the universe, to the Lewis Center who took me from my darkest moments and helped me turn myself into the person I envisioned, thank you
