Hi Wendy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind both Envy Slice LLC. & Charge Infinite LLC. was to take the skills that I learned during my working career and use them in a positive way as a leader and entrepreneur. The apparel and custom printing company Envy Slice was created to promote wellness and positivity in the African American community. Charge Infinite was created to help improve communities by providing mobile services for on demand printing document, Resume and job search, project management for businesses and community .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Both of my brands will grow into corporations! Why? I will manifest and do what it takes to move both into the direction of success. Working in the professional environment takes me back to my school days which were not the best. I did not realize that I was great until I was an adult although I knew something special was in me my struggles seemed block the way. I was a teen mother at the age of 15 I had my son who is an actor in LA (Christopher Sky), I was bullied very heavily in school and my neighborhood. Growing up finally gave me a chance to make decisions to put me and my family into a better positions and my son was extra motivation.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Visit: If time permits a City Pass is my go to for people visiting that want to catch the ATL vibe and history so on my visit list, Aquarium, Coke, Centennial Park, Piedmont Park, Little 5 Points, Lenox Mall, Mercedes Stadium, Braves Stadium, Krog Street Tunnel, Stone Mountain, downtown Decatur,Municipal Market, Belt-Line

Eat/Drink: The beautiful, Ponce City Market, K&K soulfood, Blaze, Highland Bakery, Harold’s Chicken Bar, Tassili Raw, Mangos, Local Green, Q-time, Big Daddys, Farm Burger

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
(Shout out to God 1st ) & Heavens Force, my belief and christian walk had an influence over everything in my life. My mother and a fellow author (Blessed and Highly Favored – Helen Walker-Law) has shown my strength through her struggles. Despite a rough upbringing and struggles in our mother daughter relationship my mother ranks #1. Its wasn’t until I got older and took a second look at who shaped me from childhood to be strong and fearless. Credit is also due to my wonder stepdad Jefferey Hixon .R.I.P. I learned so much growing up bout money, survival and making the best out of what you have.
