We had the good fortune of connecting with Vondre Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vondre, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Total Immersion. I started being intentional about the kind of media I absorbed, I made a note of the directors and DP’s of my favorite films, etc.

I have studied and absorbed the art form more in the past two years than my four year in school. In doing so, I’ve landed in a place that i’m happy with, for now.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Photography came to me when graphic design was begging me to leave. I was falling with style until a DSLR was a requirement for class.

I think about where I was then and how lost I was. Years out of college, I STILL haven’t found my career but I don’t feel like I’m in the middle of the ocean anymore.

For graphic design, my ideas were too lofty. For photography, they’re not lofty enough.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Carson Street would probably be the usual answer but Lawrenceville and Downtown itself have interesting people and architecture. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I don’t really know who to thank, specifically, but I appreciate everyone that I have worked with so far into this two-year journey.

I know what it’s like to have a love for something and to put your all into it just for no one to care so i’m just grateful that people appreciate something that I love.
