Meet Vivian Iwu: Full time wife, mother of 4 and Podiatrist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vivian Iwu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vivian, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to make my own schedule. I didn’t want to work for someone else, so no one will dictate my schedule. I wanted to be home when needed to raise my Children and still be in the profession I always wanted from childhood. 

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Choice Podiatry Center has been operational since 2007 starting in Cumming, GA. In 2016 we opened another location in Smyrna, GA. September of this year we sadly closed the door in Cumming, but on a more positive note, opened another door in Marietta, GA. Our practice takes pride in truly caring for our patients. We listen to them and give them different treatment options that fit them and their conditions. We are one of the few practices in the Atlanta Metro area that offers minimally invasive surgical options. I am excited about opening an in office pharmacy and certified procedural room where most elective surgeries will be performed and not in the hospital setting or other larger surgical centers. We provide a very comfortable safe environment for our patients. We take into consideration the current national pandemic and schedule our patients in such a way that they do not have to wait for long periods of time and where everyone is socially distanced. Choice Podiatry Center is still striving. It was not easy however, having dedicated staffs that share the same dream and understand that our patients come first, makes the journey much easier. Being able to attend to our patients needs and conditions is the main reason we’re still in business. Patients want doctors that listen, and give them insight on their medical condition. That is exactly what we offer our patients. We treat the conditions we know how to well and refer them to professionals for conditions we do not treat. Patients love honest and caring doctors and we offer them exactly that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Choice Podiatry Center is located at the heart of exciting areas. In Smyrna, we are at The West Village, where their is vast verities of restaurants, such as McCray’s Tavern, Blue Moon Pizza and others. In Marietta, we are located a few blocks away from the Marietta Square where one can find all kinds of fine dinning, music, arts and other entertainment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my shoutout to my husband who has always been there, supported my business/dream and purchased my first practice. I also want to shoutout to my patients. I have the most wonderful compliant patients. Most of my referrals come from my patients. My most thanks goes to them because without them my practice will not be open.
