Meet Vivian Azrya | Owner and Creative Talent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vivian Azrya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vivian, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success as well as my brand is God and my mom. At a very young age I have always had a true passion for fashion,.. well so I thought. I begged my parents for months of how I wanted to open my own clothing store and at first they thought I was just playing around. I did my research, created a name and logo in which I designed myself and presented it to them as if I had walked into a bank to present my business proposal and that is what really showed them how serious I was about it. Thereafter, my mom has been nothing but a BIG motivation for me to strive towards my dreams. As I thought my passion was for fashion, God and my mother both opened my eyes to what I was truly preparing for. I was many roles of the clothing store, one being the photographer and one thing that seemed to always catch the customers attention was the images of the inventory I had captured. I went from selling clothes to capturing beautiful, creative images. I give thanks to the most high and my parents because without them I wouldn’t of understood the true value of money, hard work, dedication and last but not least I wouldn’t have been lead to what God had already had planned for me and funny thing is, the knowledge from fashion did not go to a waste because it works hand in hand with photography.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’d like to consider myself a creative talent so with that being said my art is deprived from creativity. My friends use to always joke me saying that I think so far fetched but to me nothing was far fetched and anything was possible is you put your mind to it so with my art I must say I convey that beautifully from my creative projects. Growing up, I use to sit and watch America’s Next Top Model with first being amazed at how the models nailed the challenges but also at each of the photo concepts and styles of how the photographer pulled the shots off. I can’t remember which season to be exact but I remember one being an alter ego shoot and I was completely blown away. Today, my love and go to creative shots are created through photoshop. So, Alter egos and taking someone out of a backdrop shot and bringing them into the appropriate setting to really bring the photo to life is what I love to do. My brand/photography business is name The Rya Brand.. R.Y.A standing for Rare. Young. Ambitious “Rare” comes from where I got started in which was my first business the clothing the boutique named Rare Finds Boutique. “Young” comes about because I began in the entrepreneur world at the age of 17 and “Ambitious” is all I have ever been and with this characteristic I have been able to climb mountains I was destined for. I love breaking this part of my business down, I actually smile every time I tell someone my backstory of my businesses because I started out wanting one thing for my business and God has always directed me in the path he saw best fit and looking back now it was all definitely God’s Plan, because each phase of my life lined up for the next yet bigger stage of my life which currently brings to me to say, through the let down mentorships, being picked apart because of my age and relocating to a new state 4 years ago.. I have learned that what’s meant for you will always be for you as long as you keep that positive mindset, hard work and dedication to take every L and turn it into a W. Being a business owner, you learn that challenges are what comes with success not everything worth having comes easy and I wanted to continue to pass this along to others like myself so I have officially launched my Talent Agency last month in which I am also so excited about because as I stated there are so many creative individuals in this world, whether they are photographers, models, musicians and etc that has that R.Y.A drive but needs that RYA BRAND support and motivation so, with my brand/agency I am offering everything my parents provided for me to be where I am today, so that they can flourish to their fullest potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hmm, everyone is going to think I am so lame for this answer (LOL) because my life is my brand ,.. literally. I hardly do social events or anything however I would say this, if my best friend was visiting the area I would honestly tell her to keep her bags packed because we’re about to take a flight. I loveee to travel thats for sure and funny thing is, my best friend and I was literally texting about this earlier and I’m like girl you can come to Atlanta, we can go eat and do the norm but then we have to add another getaway and explore. I feel for me exploring other states is what also makes me a great photographer just to bring back different styles, cultures and techniques and apply it to my art. Now, do not get me wrong I love Atlanta .. Cheesecake Factory, The Vortex, Atlantic Station and 5 Points but I would have to see something different with my best friend other than where I reside.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many great people I can give a shoutout to just for the love and support, one already being given to my mom but I also would like to add my high school digital media teacher, Tracy Sustaita. She may even be shocked about this shout out (LOL), mainly because I use to goof off a lot in class and honestly I looked at the class as an easy elective but truth is I took a major interest and it also progressed my love for photography and videography. All of the creative projects we did in photoshop, and videos we produced for the football games were just so amazing to me; to see the finishing product and to this day, I laugh because I have been applying every single thing I learned from her class to my business today.
