Meet Vince Thomas | Photographer, Entrepreneur, Model, Artist, Healthcare worker,

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vince Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vince, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Giving up is always the easiest and last decision you’ll ever make. Nothing more can come from giving up, you’ve closed the door to the list of endless possibilities. My mom ingrained into my mind early that today may not be the day you win, but if you give up now, what if tomorrow you would have won? I know when to keep going when i still have more to give, when i know theres another angle, approach or strategy i still have yet to try. I don’t define myself by my losses, i study them and learn from every last of them, that way when the time comes again to attack, strive and prosper, not only now will i know what not to do, but ill also have that second burst of energy to achieve virtually anything i set my mind to.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets me apart from others in my field is that i give equal effort to all of my creative endeavors. Whether is my photography, my modeling approaches, or my music. You can always expect 100% from me, never less. Its challenging because often i feel like i don’t have a identity or a niche other than being a “creative, or artist” it feels more limiting than it should or most would think. Im most proud for my ability to keep going, those closest to me know how much i doubt myself. One of the biggest lessons ive learned since I’ve started is that people can see the heart and passion in your work. If you half-do something, or self conscious. people will notice. My intention is one of things im mastering, if i put full intention into all of my work, the rest will take care of itself in time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we would go get breakfast from Roshell’s Cafe & Deli, to me they have one of the most underrated home style breakfast and diner burgers. Next depending on the weather, i would take them to gulf shores, one of the perks to living in mobile is the quick access to beautiful beaches. Right down the road is another food and entertainment spot called
“The Hangout” anytime i go its always slammed packed, but the customer service never falls short.
Next on the list , we have to take pictures lol. A perk of having a photographer as a friend is that any a event becomes a movie when the camera comes out, people always have so much fun taking pictures with me because i capture them best in their element.
If its the first friday and the artwalk is downtown, i have to take them there, They will be in awe of the life that lurks underneath our noses everyday. You will see people you didn’t even know lived in mobile, so much talent, drinks, music and food for the whole family to enjoy

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Life changing book i read, The Alchemist. Tells a story about a guy on a journey. Taught me to follow the song my heart was humming. Not to shy away from my desires. If you have a constant thought or urge to achieve something, you should follow it. It might just lead you to some treasure
