Meet Victoria Lewis: Entrepreneur, Life Coach – Mentor, Travel Phlebotomist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, how do you think about risk?
I must say risk taking has played a major role in my life/career. If you don’t take risk then how would you ever know?!? I am big on faith and going after everything I want in life. I learned to think big, dream bigger, and be bold & fearless because what’s for you will always be for you. Long as God is on my side I am unstoppable!

I always told myself I never want to be one of those people who look back on life wishing they would have did this or that. I have always felt like God was calling me for something more, for something bigger. It would be on my heart heavily. The feeling is indescribable. I knew I was destin for more. I knew I was called to help people and make a positive impact but I kept putting it off. I kept saying, it’s not the right time. God kept trying to get me to “move” and I wouldn’t until it got to a point where He actually put a complete stranger right in my path who asked me if I could mentor her lol. During that moment all I could do was laugh & be amazed because I knew this was His way of getting me to “move.”

Well let’s just say, June of 2020 I took a step on faith and started my own Mentoring – Life coaching program, “Ready Set GROW Mentoring.” I didn’t know much about starting or having a business all I knew was it was time for me to “move!” Lol
I created me a little flyer on Canva and posted it on Instagram and my business went up from there. I was speechless of the outcome. During this time I was working full time at Hobby Lobby all while trying to balance and figure out having my own business. I knew Hobby Lobby wasn’t where God wanted me. I knew that was only a stop along the way to where I’m headed. After months of prayer and waiting on confirmation January 2021, I took one of the biggest, scariest but exciting risk of my life by leaving my full time job to become my own boss full time. I set a goal to always do what I’m passionate about, walk in my purpose, move when God say move lol, and to work for myself full time all while doing other things I love on the side like traveling phlebotomy, brand ambassador.. etc.

I can honestly say that risk I took turned out to be one of the greatest decisions I ever made. Having faith over fear will get you far in life. Do it scared!!!

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I believe what sets me apart from others is simply just being me. One thing you’ll notice if you are starting a business or whatever the case may be you’ll have those who feel like you need to do this or that.. you have to be like this or that. No! Be YOU! That’s what the people love. Realness. Things they can relate to. I feel like my vibe, my personality and my energy speaks for itself.  Your whole vibe in mindset will be different after being around me I promise. I’ll get you to start thinking lol. You know they say, there can be a million people doing what you are doing but the difference and what separates you from them is they aren’t YOU. Everyone have their own technique, vibe & uniqueness about them. We are all called to make impact in some form of way.

I can honestly say I love being a life coach – Mentor. I love making a difference in people life. I will say that is something I am most proud of… that makes me happy & gets me excited, doing what I love all while getting getting paid to do it at that lol. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if I never took a leap out on faith a year from today. Today, I am a certified life coach & Mentor. I am the founder of my Life coaching – Mentor business, “Ready Set GROW Mentoring.” The road hasn’t always been easy now. Don’t let these folks who make it seem like it’s easy fool you. You will most definitely hit some bumps in the road on your journey. There will be ups & downs. There will be moments business can be booming and then the next month it’s not. There will be times you are tired and may not feel like getting up but you get up and push through anyway. There will be times where you get frustrated and may want to give up but trust me that’s all part of the process. You have to trust the process. Have faith over fear and remind yourself of “why you started” and “where you are headed” that will always keep you motivated! Most importantly keeping in mind that the outcome at the end will be well worth it. This is how I keep myself going and overcome challenges that come my way.

I will say the lessons along the way that I’ve learned is to always believe in yourself, be patient because everyone season is different, always be yourself because you don’t have to fit in or do what others are doing, do what You feel is best, and always let God lead the way. I want the world to know that when you see me, you see my brand and what I stand for. I am all about helping individuals turn their “CAN’T” into “CAN” and their “DREAMS” into “PLANS”. I want people to know that they can and they will! I want them to know they are not alone. They are loved, they are supported, they matter!! I want them to know their voice is being heard, Their past doesn’t define them. They can overcome anything. I know how it feel to feel like you have no one.. no one to talk to or supporting you. I know those feelings all too well. This is why I created Ready Set GROW Mentoring to help individuals come together to uplift, motivate, inspire, love, comfort & support one another on this journey we call life by holding them accountable to help them accomplish their goals, break bad habits & cycles by creating good habits. Helping them to release past hurt & learning to forgive. Breaking generational curses, building up confidence, releasing self doubt, learning & loving who they are, and more. You can’t win in life if you aren’t right within!! I want to see us all winning in life. It all starts with YOU!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hmm.. well me personally being from Alabama I would have to say two of my favorite spots in Atlanta would have to be “Ol Lady Gang” & “The Pirates Boil.” I love to visit Ol Lady Gang with the fam!! Those fired devil eggs are so good!! The Pirates Boil has some of the best seafood to me. The seasoning & the amount of food be just right!! These literally are my two go to restaurants when I’m in town lol. I need a list of other options to try.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I must say God!!! Where would I be without Him!! My source!! Secondly, I would honestly have to say none of this would be possible without my amazing group of mentees (clients). I would like to thank them for not only choosing me to be apart of their journey but for trusting in me!! I am thankful for each one of them!! They motivate me in so many ways.
