We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Keith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Ask Victoria – Financial Boutique began in 2019. As a former auto sales professional, I discovered many people were not equipped with information needed to save money, time and haggling when buying a car. In addition, witnessing some unfair practices by managers and some salespersons, inspired the creation of Ask Victoria. I desired to level the car buying playing field.
Ask Victoria provides checklists, an ebook and consultations. To date, I’ve saved hundreds of clients through the car-buying process save thousands of dollars off the vehicle of interest, at least two percent on their interest rate, and avoid wasting hours at the dealership.
Fast forward to October 2o22, I expanded Ask Victoria into a Financial Boutique. It’s geared towards assisting women with major financial decisions in the areas of financial planning, credit repair, real estate, auto buying, and insurance.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets Ask Victoria – Financial Boutique apart from other financial services is that we are all inclusive. It truly is a boutique style financial resource. Whether you need a financial planner to a realtor or a credit repair specialist you can find it here. This all-female boutique of financial specialist were handpicked by Victoria. They have worked in various capacities with Victoria; from webinars to television appearances. All of the specialists provide excellent customer service and are extremely knowledge in their area.
This journey to get here has not been easy, at all. However, the process is rewarding. When someone says you save me.”money, time and haggling”, I consider that a win. Our ongoing challenge is changing a mindset of potential clients. I’ve been guilty of this. However, I want to reach people and let them know that you can start right where you are and create a different financial path, but it starts with our mindset, getting accurate information, and executing the plan.
Along this entrepreneurial journey, I’ve learned that not everyone is my client. Despite my desire to assist everyone, everyone is not my responsibility, So, I had to learn about target marketing. I’m clear about who I want to assist.
I want readers to know that my desire to build and grow Ask Victoria – Financial Boutique is to prevent women from being in a financial struggle-bus situation or assist women that have found themselves in a struggle financially. I want to remove the stigma that because something bad has happened doesn’t determine you ultimate outcome, but should fuel your desire to work to get out of it and never return. Ask Victoria – Financial Boutique is a no judgment zone. We welcome all those that want to learn, grow and strive at saving money, time and haggling with major financial decisions.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a no-brainer. My friends no me well enough to know I’m a homebody. We can eat, drink and hangout at my place. I am operating a financial boutique, so I seek to save money when possible. We can grab our drinks of choice, cook, and chill. The best times with my friends have truly been when we are not immersed in the crowds and loud music.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have a tribe of people that encourage, support, and speak life into me: my family. That is family that are blood and chosen. I’m very fortunate to have them in my life. They are my why!
