We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Torres and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
Heal, i believe unlearning how our parents parented us + accepting the fact that it was not their fault how we felt trauma from their parenting skills. I believe they tried the best with whatever knowledge they had. But unlearning & relearning how to be a present, how to handle/react to a child emotional needs.

It’s been a journey, but i wouldn’t change it for the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have started my lashing career back in 2019, after i separated from my ex husband. I became a single mom of 2 with only 149$ weekly from the job i had part time. When i took the lash course my only intentions was to grow & evolve & giving up was not an option.

I hustled so hard for the first 4 years, lashing was all i knew, i was so obsessed with wanting create sets that clients came back for but not only that, my vibrant energy, constantly educating myself about mental health, healing, psychology, love & day to day life experiences so i could be there for my clients during those lash sessions.

The biggest lesson i learned, when i moved from NC to ATL, GA. I realized i made my career my entire identity. I went from working countless hours to having to rebuild my clientele all over again. That made me realize i needed to separate who i am vs what i do on a day to day. I don’t want to be associated with just one thing, which is why i also call myself a student of life.

I would like the world to know about my story that you are more than just your career, you need to find a balance within your day to day life, give energy to things that have a positive output. Be a student of life & it is OKAY if your path is constantly changing. We’re not meant to be in this world & be tied to only one calling.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my bestfriend was in town, i would take her to lifetime at phipps plaza, we’re hitting legs & than going on a friendly walk on the beltline (if it’s a sunny day) & than we go home, freshen up & hit up my favorite spot in buckhead called MCK restaurant.

My go to food there is the skirt steak, peppas bravas (making my mouth watery as i type this) with my favorite go to drink Old fashioned with 3 cherries on the side.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I started my lashing journey in Sep 2019, i have always had an eye for the beauty industry & with the help of my sister Beka she introduced me to “lash extensions”. I found a lash course within 6 weeks, i set my intentions/goals & i have never looked back. After falling in love with the challenges of creating art in lashing i continued furthering my education & took another course in 2021 & 2022. My ultimate goal with being of service to all the gals is continue being vibrant with my energy & aspire to inspire to you all along with creating long lasting relationships.
