We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica McGee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I’ve recently been reflecting on the growing health challenges many countries face, including my native Romania and the United States, particularly concerning obesity. It’s understandable why many feel frustrated by the ever-changing landscape of health advice – from ‘eat this’ to ‘avoid that,’ the search for a single answer has often led to disappointment.
My perspective is that our health, especially when it comes to chronic conditions and weight concerns, is a tapestry woven from many threads. The quality of our sleep, the strength of our social bonds, our connection with nature, how we move our bodies, our intellectual and spiritual engagement, and even our financial peace of mind – all these elements contribute significantly. Because these factors are deeply personal, the solutions must be equally individualized.
That’s why I’m passionate about offering nutrition counseling that takes a multidimensional approach. Together, over a dedicated six-month period, we delve into all facets of my clients’ well-being. The aim is not just to address immediate concerns, but to build a foundation of healthy habits that will support my clients for years to come, allowing them to live life to its fullest. And that is how we change the world.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Twin Leaf Wellness was born from a deeply personal understanding of the challenges many face when seeking solutions for persistent health concerns. About 25 years ago, I navigated my own health journey, struggling with debilitating digestive issues and wishing for a more comprehensive approach than what was readily available—at one point, it was suggested my physical symptoms were purely psychological. While I cannot change the past, that experience ignited my passion to provide the kind of support I once sought.

Today, Twin Leaf Wellness is dedicated to helping clients navigate their own paths to well-being. It’s my belief that while medication can be invaluable for managing symptoms, true healing from chronic conditions often requires a sustained, multifaceted effort that addresses every aspect of health. This commitment, over time, allows new, healthier habits to form. Just as our bodies gradually develop issues due to their incredible resilience, regaining optimal health is also a journey.

At Twin Leaf Wellness, our mission is to walk alongside you on this journey, offering guidance and support as you cultivate lasting health. We believe that a foundation of well-being is essential for a vibrant and fulfilling life, impacting everything we do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
What a fun question! I love to get out! I’d start by a long walk on the BeltLine from Ponce City Market to Krog Street Market where we would have lunch at Planta–an all plant restaurant and shop a little bit at Patagonia. Then–in true healthy fashion, in order to balance out blood sugar, we’d walk back to Ponce City Market. One day, we’d wake up early to catch the sunrise on Kennesaw Mountain maybe with our Atlanta Camino peeps, sharing stories from old caminos and learning new tips for future ones. We’d have lunch together as a community at Whole Foods in Kennesaw. We would spend the late afternoon at the beach in Acworth and then take our kayaks for a paddle and dinner on the lake. Cannot think of a better way to watch the sunset. Since we could always use more nature, the next day we’d take a fun stroll through downtown Roswell and visit some of the history houses, most likely Bulloch Hall to follow the steps of Mittie Roosevelt, President Theodore Roosevelt’s mother. We’d have a healthy lunch at Souper Jenny and tea at Summit followed by a walk at the river boardwalk–remember the blood sugar! In the end, we’d finish off our Atlanta adventure at the High Museum of Art hopefully on a day where they have their Oasis program with Yoga and Live Music. There you go, life well lived!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has been my team, cheering me on and offering a crying shoulder when things did not go my way. I credit my health history, my recovery and now my sharing of these gifts with the world to Dr. Mark Hyman and his tireless work over the years starting with The UltraMind Solution book that I read in the summer of 2008.
