We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Lima and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Omg! I neverrrrr wanted to do this. I was a renter in a spa and one Monday (as my husband was between jobs + new baby at home) the owner called us saying they were shutting the doors immediately. And we had no where to go so I decided I had to be in control of my financial security and couldn’t leave it up to anyone else plus I wanted to ensure this didn’t happen to other people either!!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our salon believes BIG in mentoring the next generation. Almost everyone in our company came to us straight from school, we connected them to an in house mentor, trained them for 9 months or so and taught them skills and strategies to having a long successful career and allowing them to be considerably more confident then if just starting straight out of school and being a stylist.

To give back and allow young artists the confidence, the mentorship and the educational opportunities sets us apart!

Our motto has lasts been that We hire nice and train every other aspect. Our continuous education makes our salon company one of the most educated teams around!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dinner at Marcel, braves game at the battery, dinner at Umi sushi, after dinner drinks at the bar at St. Regis, foot massages, botanical gardens, psychic reading?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has always allowed me to believe that I was capable of anything + has given me decades of support. Also, special Staff members seeing the vision of my business future + helping me believe in the dream! I also have a a mentor Daniel Mason Jones owner at Muse Salon + Spa in Johns Creek and a coach Cayla Rae Ledbetter whom teach me things + show me a path. I wouldn’t have dreamed so big without any of these people listed.
