Meet Vega The Free | Entrepreneur & Spiritual Mentor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vega The Free and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vega The Free, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I have done as a parent is remembering who I am. Sometimes society puts limitations on parents, from the way we express ourselves, the type of lifestyle we’re expected to live, and what career field we should be in. I teach my kids that not only am I a mother, but also a wife, daughter, sister, friend, business owner etc. By remembering who I am, it is my hope that they will never forget who they are. I believe it will help them understand that I am I human on a journey just like them, and generational curses will be broken. .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make several type of spiritual products like hand poured candles, oils, and self care products. I also do tarot/oracle readings and spiritual advisement. I believe what sets me apart from others is that I do what I do to touch others. It’s not all ways about proceeds. There is nothing more healing than to know I helped someone else with my products and services. Suffering from postpartum depression made almost every aspect of living hard. I had to fight everyday to come to a place of healing so that I could simply exist. Once I started to remember who I was, even beyond what I had known I entered a space of spiritual healing which is infinite. I put all of my love into creating healing products to help others. I prayed over and blessed every product I made. The biggest lesson I have learned is that I am not in a race. One of my Mantras is “I have everything I need at all times and I am always where I am need to be.” I wholeheartedly believe in manifestation and positive affirmations. I am super excited because I am working on brand new products that will be dropping very soon. It will be a completely different look from my last launch. When people think about Vega The Free, I want them to know that this brand comes from a once lost soul who has found her Devine purpose. There are no labels or limitations the world can put on any of us if we know who we are and simply believe.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite places to eat is at the Tuk Tuk food loft on Peachtree Rd NW in Atlanta. I love Thai food and they have vegan and vegetarian options which is great for a diverse crowd. I also love Bar vegan at Ponce City Market. There are great vibes there and it is also a black owned business. Right next to Ponce City market is the belt line which offers outdoor walking trails, or a place to chill on the grass and soak up some sun with your friends. If you want something more tranquil Freeman’s Mill Park has a waterfall where you can place your feet and the water and enjoy the scenery.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely believe that nothing happens on this journey by chance. Women have been the source of my healing, and almost all positive opportunities. My sisters and friends are my daily mentors and I respect their guidance. I met my best friend Lette 12 years ago living in South Korea. We were both young mothers raising our first children and instantly clicked. I wasn’t much of a spiritual person until I met my best friend. She is such a ball of light! And even when I didn’t believe things were possible she always encouraged me no matter how many miles apart we were. After having a horrible postpartum breakdown in 2019 she stayed by my side guiding me on the most spiritual and healing journey I’ve had in my life. Her strength and happiness encourages me beyond words.
