We had the good fortune of connecting with Valerie Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valerie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I am a serial entrepreneur, When I saw this concept; i thought that it was an excellent opportunity to bring to my city. I’ like many other people do not want to drive to the city for an “experience” all of the time. I wanted to bring a city activity to the suburbs.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the proud owner of The Selfie Xperience; we are the 1st interactive selfie studio in Henry County, Ga. Not only are we the first; we are one of the largest; boasting over 3700sqft of picture perfect space. we have 30+ wall designs for all of your Selfie needs. Aside from the size; the other thing that sets us apart from other selfie studios is that we have a dedicated space just for events and our staff are Selfie X-perts! They will ensure you leave with the best selfies of your life. They will help you pose and show you how to truly capture your pictures.

I am a serial entrepreneur; by no means was it is easy. However; with each new venture; the process is less difficult. Trial and error and not being afraid to fail got me where I am today. You have to take chances and you have to believe in yourself. You really should not look for outside validation; the idea, the vision was given to you.

Pictures will never go out of style. The Selfie Xperience wants to be apart of your memories. We want you to look back on your pictures you take with us and smile. We want our vision and brand to evoke happiness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely Ponce City Market. It has a little bit of everything. The Food, the Entertainment, The drinks. I would take them to Stone mountain for a great workout to start the day.
Drive in movies Starlight – simply because this is a staple of the city that many people don’t talk about much but it brings back found memories of my childhood.
I-fly- I mean indoor skydiving need I say more.
I would check out any free concerts or live music in the city and or at the parks.
Of course we would end up at The Selfie Xperience to take some dope pictures and video!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out my husband! I can not thank him enough for helping me during this process and picking up the slake in our home while I worked long hours each day to get this project up and running. I can not thank him enough for going above and beyond with my our daughter. I seriously could not have done this without his help.
