Hi Valerie-Taiylor, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When I’m thinking about taking risks I think it’s a fun journey. Life is full of risk and sometimes you have to take the risk to get where you want to go in life. If you take that leap of faith you might fail but that is okay as long as you get up and keep trying. I’ve taken a lot of risks in my life but I honestly wish I was taking more than what I am doing. I wish that I would not let my fears of what other people think hold me back. Right now I’m on my self journey where im trying things to benefit myself and takes those risk for myself and putting myself first.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well I am a college influencer/trying to breakout as more than just a college influencer. I would say what sets me apart from other aspiring college influencers is the quality and editing of the types of tik toks i post and i also understand how to catch trends fast that i can adopt my type of content with new trending sounds. As of right now Im learning new ways to connect and interact with the audience of social media so i’m not where i want to be but i am almost there!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So if my friends were coming down to tuscaloosa alabama on a saturday, I would take them to all my favorite spots. first place for sure is of course brunch. I would take them to either brick or spoon or another broken egg and after that we would go shopping downtown and hit up a couple of cute boutiques and vintage clothing stores. for lunch we would forsure get sushi from ajian and also get boba which I right next door and we would sit outside and eat. after we eat we would definitely go to a darty at a frat house on campus. after that we would definitely be hungry again and we would get ramen and dumplings at mullins crossing and also hit up ulta and go home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out to my mom. My mom is the reason why I am here today. Without her I would have given up on my dreams and I would have stopped trying. She always supported my dreams and never thought my ideas were too big. She supported me every second of the way whether it came to helping sign documents to finding opportunities she has become my momager and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I also want to shout out to my best friend Asia anderson. She balances me out and without her I would be running around with my head cut off. She has given me so much insight on this industry and she has led me on the right path on how to figure this new world out. I’m just getting started but without them I wouldn’t know where I would be.
