We had the good fortune of connecting with Valentino Caviar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valentino, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my photography business was deeply rooted in my passion for capturing and preserving special moments. Over the years, I honed my skills through various projects and realized that photography was not just a hobby, but something I wanted to pursue more seriously. I noticed a gap in the market for the style of photography I specialize in and saw an opportunity to bring a unique perspective to clients. Starting my own business allows me to combine my love for the art with a desire to create a brand that resonates with people on a personal level, all while fulfilling my goal of working independently and creatively.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey began as a passion project—photography was a way for me to connect with people and capture the beauty in everyday moments. As I grew my business, I faced obstacles like establishing my brand identity and standing out in a competitive market. It wasn’t easy, but I learned to stay true to my artistic vision and invest in continuous learning and professional development.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a week in new york I’d start my days with breakfast at Coffee Project. For lunch, I’d explore the local street food scene at [Market/Street]. Evenings would be perfect for dining at Gramercy Tavern

During the day, I’d visit a broadway show, take a walk through Park Neighborhood, and definitely spend a day at Central Park. If you’re into history, Tenement Museum
is fascinating, and for some adventure, East River Waterfront Esplanade is a must.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing clients and collaborators who have pushed me to be better and explore new creative ideas.

I dedicate this to my best friend no longer here with us Rip
