Meet V Henny: Content Creator, Host, Media Personality, Manager, and Event Curator

We had the good fortune of connecting with V Henny and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi V, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Some important factors that helped me succeed within my brand would be to stay consistent, remain true to your self and relationship is currency.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I found myself writing to ease my deep rooted pain as I listened to the words from a song to see if they too, can relate. I went from writing poetry to writing Hip Hop lyrics, transitioning into radio which then opened up another chapter, event planning. Although I’ve failed many times, I always manage to get back up. A kid with a broken paint brush, who never gives up, always sees the vision and paints a bigger picture.
I believed in dreaming big even when it caused fear in my heart and soul. Life will always be beautiful. Precisely the reason I take chances when it comes to following my dreams. I appreciate the experiences and the lessons from it all. I’m a girl from The Bronx that had an unstable and challenging childhood. A girl who dropped out of high school at the age of 16, just a kid who decided not to quit and get her G.E.D. A dreamer who decided to follow her path, that of a dreamer. To work hard, sleepless nights and be consistent, as she day dreams.
I’m not like the other kids, unlike the 98% of them, they grew up and life forced them to change their goals and dreams. I continue to dream big. I continue to have passion and dedication, knowing that there’s more to life, wanting to be heard, help others and make my dreams come true.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love my city so I can go from walking The Brooklyn Bridge to heading to City Island in The Bronx and getting some Steamed crab legs with some Henny-Colada’s . Heading to Manhattan and hitting the Bars/Lounges out in L.E,S or head to Coney Island, vibe out at the broad walk and then get some dope Jamaican dish at Footprints.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank everyone that has been supporting me from when I first started this journey to all the new souls that are inspired by the process. My family and finance support has been over the top, from every merchandise, to every subscription and comments on my show and every event that I curated. They show me that no matter how hard it gets, they believe in me and see my value within this industry. I want to thank those that took my kindness for weakness, it taught me a valuable lesson in all of this, It taught me the lesson of self value and self love, to never doubt myself. Life can be rough and many moments you may feel alone but with self-love and love overall, anything is possible, Love always win!!
