We had the good fortune of connecting with Ugeneis Hines and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ugeneis, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
To have patience and perseverance, In my profession you will get lot’s of No’s before you get the 1st Yes. But more importantly stay prepare and ready, if you not prepare when the moment comes to audition, the chances of future audition’s is slim. First impression is everything, dont blow it unprepared.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally? We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am Artist, more specifically a Trained Actor and a Trained Stunt Performer. Member of SAG/Aftra Union. What’s set me a part is I can jump from a 32ft building or doing voiceovers in different tone levels being I overcame a speech impediment. My lowest moment in life came when I lost my son to murder a couple years ago and wanted to give it all up. But the desire to be GREAT is so ingrained I just keep striving for greatness. My biggest challenge was/is to break the “Generation Curse” of my bloodline. From my studdering problems as a child, growing up without a mother or a father and buried my son. Me wanting to overcome all of it because of the desire to be great and have a legacy for my future seeds to be inspired by. I want the world to know my passion for acting is deep and want to share with the world my life experiences and passion through my artistic work in film and television. To inspire someone not to give up on their dreams and aspirations no matter the circumstances is the ultimate satisfaction….one day at a time…stay focused!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well me being a vegan. I would take my friends to “Slutty Vegan” for food. We would visit the MLK Center and his birth home. I love Jazz clubs. So we would go to Cafe 290 for a nice evening of music and food. We love sports also, so i would take them to the College Football Hall of Fame. If want to dance we going to Harlem nights or Lucky’s Lounges and finished with the Gerogia Aquarium. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to first thank my father Joe for the DNA i have. My college brothers who always supported me in all aspects of my life. Lastly and most important…my wife Tonia. She been supportive and encouraging throughout my entire journey in the entertainment business.
