We had the good fortune of connecting with Ufuoma Oyibo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ufuoma, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I like to work within the following 5 principles: 1. I work with integrity. I think it’s very important to operate like someone’s watching, when no one is watching. 2. I expect excellence and not only do I expect excellence, but I try to operate in excellence as well. 3. I really value networking. A great network creates a community of great companies, entrepreneurs, and employees. 4. I think it’s highly advantageous to hire referrals for contracts and special projects, but especially employees. When I hire referrals I create an employee investment that usually offers a solid return on investment. 5. I also believe that you get what you pay for. Favors are good, but paying people for their services is always the best reward for work.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The vision of Atlanta Treatment Center (ATC) is to offer our clients and our community a treatment center that truly cares. We want to be a beacon of hope and light for those struggling with their mental health and a support system for those who need it.

We partner with clients to provide a holistic program that addresses a variety of needs and issues, using cutting-edge treatment modality based on Motivational Interviewing and a six stages-of-change approach. We conduct individual, couple, family, and group therapy, as well as psychoeducational group sessions addressing issues. We help our clients cope with trauma, substance abuse, theft prevention, grief loss, stress management, anger management, relapse prevention, and peer support. We give our clients the opportunity to go at their own pace as we embrace the healing journey together. ATC is committed to providing quality treatment and services to our clients and maintaining a valued partnership with the community.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t get to hang out too often, but when I do I love the Atlantic Station. It’s everything you need to have a great time, from food, good shopping, and activities.

Now there are a few places I’d like to try. If I had a day to myself, I would spend the day getting pampered at the Iwi Garden Day Spa and then have lunch at the Atlanta Fish Market.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my very own support system. My support system includes a loving family and a community of friends, especially my kids. I would like to appreciate their patience and understanding as I have to help not just them but others. My ATC team is consistently rising to expectations and surpassing them. My King’s Court Chapel family is always encouraging me to keep striving toward new goals and last, but not least, my faith which is my daily guide.
