Meet Udo Ebulu | Producer, Actor, & Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Udo Ebulu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Udo, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose to pursue an artistic/creative career because it is my passion. I have been blessed with artistic and creative abilities. I truly believe that it is God’s plan for me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is tranquil for me. What sets me apart from others is my open-mindset. I am a lover of learning and I am a quick-study. These abilities have helped me to constantly grow as a person mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. I am mostly excited about my future, thinking about how bright it is and doing everything I can to make my dreams a reality. How I have gotten to where I am today professionally is with faith in myself and faith in God. It has not been easy, but what has helped me to overcome the challenges thus far is perseverance. One of the main lessons that I’ve learned along the way is to strive for perfection, but be okay with good enough. Perfection is almost impossible to obtain. However, near perfection is more than good to say the least. I want the world to know that I am an artist in the true sense.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area and I want to show them the best time ever, I would take them to a variety of different cultural restaurants to get a taste of different cultures. I’ll give them Moët and Alizé so that they’re tipsy, shoutout to the legend Biggie. Turn up at a couple of lounges for the culture, things of that nature.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my family for the love and support they have given me. They are there for me when I could use their help and my experiences with them through the good times and the bad times has made me the person that I am today. I would also like to shoutout my fellow kind and thoughtful actor & filmmaker Jasmine Alexander. She has been very supportive of my career and believed in me enough to put in a good word for me to have this interview opportunity.
