We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyzlah Daniels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyzlah, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I heard this saying from John Ron “ everything is a risk…no matter what you do no one makes it out alive” when I think about risk I often think about to that quote and about the choices we decide to make for ourselves whether you choose to risk it all , or risk nothing at all. There is still a price to be paid for you’re choices so why not choose the one with the biggest potential outcome. Taking risk has allowed me to break cultural and generational barriers and allowed me to become a Owner of a Beauty Supply Store at the young age of 23. Taking risk has allowed me to let go of so many of my fears and only think about the good what ifs- what if all your dreams do come true, what if you are actually successful, what if you are the change you wish to seek!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m owner of Magique Noire Beauty Supply (means black magic in French) I’m most proud to have accomplished exactly what I said I would regardless of the struggles and everything I have to learn I still did it and no one can ever take that away. I got to this place in life by first figuring out what it is that I wanted in life. So many people work 9-5 not knowing what goal it is they are trying to reach so once I figure out what it is I wanted I put all my focus into that one thing until it became my reality. The easiest thing was believing in myself as soon as you walk in your purpose the lord or universe (whom ever you/whatever you believe in) literally falls into place. Now somethings fall out of place but only to get you where you are meant to be. I’ve unfortunately learned not to be so trusting with anybody family and friends included and not because anyone wishes bad but simply because no one will ever care about your passion and dreams more than you will. I want everyone to know that Magique Noire Beauty supply is a retail store but really so much more we truly produce Magic and everyone should stay tuned because so much more is coming

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was coming into town I would for sure have to take her to get something to eat and drink at Savoy Bistro & lounge located in Morrow Ga the ambience there is amazing, we’d then have to some Shopping in Atlanta right in the heart of the city that I love the most! To wind down the day we’d have to come back on the south side now in the McDonough area to check out Perspire Sauna Studio Spa (I love a good spa activity) and then end the day at Rays by the River (requesting seats outside on the actual river) enjoying life to its very fullest!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my big brother Cordell Capers Jr. who has truly become my right hand man through his entire journey anytime I wasn’t believing in myself he did! Anytime I needed help he helped with no hesitation. There have been many long nights and early mornings but I know this would not be possible without him
