We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyrone Moore Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyrone, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
The most important decision I made was to invest in myself. Investing doesn’t always mean material things. Investing can be your time and or energy. I like to invest my time into learning new ways to perfect my craft via YouTube University.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business was created to showcase my creativity. My ultimate goal is to give back to black and brown students in my city and beyond. I want to host different classes that can help aid their aspirations of being a photographer or videographer. I’ve already started the work by teaching high school seniors photography at a college during the summers. I believe that representation matters and that allowing our youth to see people that look like them in different roles benefits them. I’m also excited to do more projects with a local school in my city. Last BHM, we created 28 videos with different students to showcase their blackness. I’m excited to do more projects and even bigger projects to give students a voice.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I must shout out my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the head of my life. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Him. I have many people to shout out that have helped me in my story. If I had to choose one person, it would have to be my 3 year old son. He has, without knowing, pushed me to be the best version of myself. He’s been my baby model since he was born. He likes to come to some shoots and help me when needed and not needed. He motivates me in every way. So, I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my son.
