We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Kidd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is networking. I agree with the idea that it’s all about who you know.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an actor, dance instructor and singer. What sets me apart from others are the things I’ve learned to like about myself as I’ve gotten older. One of things I’m most proud of is my persistence. One of the things I’m the most excited about is performing and traveling the world. I got to where I am today from keeping a student mindset with every room that I walk into. With how hard this industry often is, I’m still overcoming a couple challenges till this day. I’ve also had to learn how to make connections in a way where it’s always based in friendship. I want the world to know that it’s completely doable to be a full time creative if you’re willing to put in the work needed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to SkyView Atlanta. I also would have them eat at The Varsity in Atlanta. Taking them to Six Flags and even the Georgia Aquarium. Also going to the World of Coke would be a blast! There’s a couple pretty awesome places in Atlanta I haven’t been to yet like the Atlanta Selfie Museum and Trap Music Museum!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I guess you could say I have been fortunate enough to have had a few mentors is my life. Ultimately, I honestly would like to thank my friends and family for being supportive of what I do. Having a group of people around that love you and tell you the truth even when you don’t want to hear it is a blessing. One of the groups of artists that I spend a good amount of time around is a collective of artists that go by the name of “Ozone Slayers.”
