Meet TY-44 | Artist & Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with TY-44 and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TY-44, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I’d say the most important factor behind my success is the support of everyone who’s been apart of this journey. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without my producers, (TK, Rtillery, & Doszachys), my family, and friends around me. I feel like this coming album, Moth, is a depiction of my musical career up until now. So on that note, I’d also like to attribute my success to upstate sound for everything they do for me as an artist and a creative.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m TY-44, signed under Upstate Sound, my music is described as spacey, atmospheric, catchy, and animated. I’m commonly compared to artists like Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Kid Cudi, and etc. A lot of what I do correlates between music and fashion. Being a model, I have worked with over 20 of the top up and coming streetwear fashion brands: The Bagchaser Club, The Belmontz, Visionary Club, Pieces (LA), Vigilant & Virtuous, and many more. My label and I are very excited about my upcoming debut album, Moth. It’s showcases 10 songs produced by my team of producers and engineers and is executive produced by David Myssle. This upcoming album is the body of work we believe is the project that will not only bring me success in the mainstream media but also will put me on the platform to excel into other endeavors.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So let’s say my fashion friend and CEO of “The Bagchaser Club”, Alicia, decided to come visit me from LA. First I’d have to show her all of the dope picture spots around ATL. So we are talking about Lenox, Buckhead, and Atlantic station over in Midtown. We would have to get some wings (food), so we would have pay a visit to Wings 101. In Atlanta, I really enjoy the museums and galleries that we have here. Of course, I’d have to take her to the studio to show off where the magic happens, but outside of that the clothings stores are where we are hitting next.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my label upstate sound for my shoutout. We are really excited about this upcoming album, Moth. I’d also like to dedicate my shout out to my producers/engineers: RTillery, TK, and DosZachys.
