We had the good fortune of connecting with TuTxTuT of KhamenLenz Media and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TuTxTuT of KhamenLenz Media, how do you think about risk?
All I do is take risks! I can’t remember a time I didn’t take a risk. Taking risks is vital to exposing yourself to new environments. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t take one. How are we supposed to grow & learn if we are staying comfortable in the same environment? I grew up in Syracuse, then moved to Buffalo. From there, I went to Miami. Just constantly moving around and meeting new people. My mother always traveled when I was a kid as well, so new environments aren’t scary to me. So, I understand the other side, but hopefully, my words can encourage someone to take a risk, change their lifestyle, whatever it is, as long as it’s positive.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Master’s creative director and editor. I also make music, and both of these passions have been equally successful for me. I actually started my journey in film two years before diving into music. It’s interesting how these two industries seem to go hand in hand. While film is my true passion, music feels like my calling. It’s a wild mix, but I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished so far.

I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with A-list artists and film for them as well. Along the way, I’ve built a name and brand for myself, something that I can leave behind and still be successful until infinity. I take great pride in my work ethic and the fact that I’ve never given up, even in the face of numerous challenges that could have broken the average person. My mental strength and faith have kept me going.

Every day, I wake up grateful that I can work on my craft. I’ve learned not to pay attention to negative people, as sometimes they’re negative just for the sake of it. In the past two years, I’ve made a conscious effort to clean my circle and isolate myself from distractions. Distractions are everywhere, so it’s crucial to stay focused.

This creative journey we’re on is tough! It’s like after accomplishing one thing, it’s never enough, and I find myself striving for something even bigger. As time goes on, I realize that I’ve been doing this for almost 4-5 years now. This journey is no joke! But I’m determined to stay focused and keep pushing forward.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank everyone who’s by my side and supporting me. Some show more support than others, but I appreciate every single bit of it because it all counts. Without you guys, I wouldn’t have that extra push to keep going. I love everyone who loves me back. Shout out to Groove Phi Groove S.F.I.
