We had the good fortune of connecting with Troy Gathers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Troy, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
All of my current and future book projects with B.E. Y.O.U Publishing are built on community empowerment and fundamental learning. Everyone can learn from my book projects but of course I love to reach the voiceless more directly, because your legacy is attached to the people you helped. My books will help anyone who takes the time to read them, yet nothing works unless you do.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
B.E. Y.O.U Publishing was founded while I was attending South Carolina State University but I didn’t release my first book project until 2015. The hardest aspect for me to conquer in any endeavor is my mental clock. Over the years, I’ve come to find that there’s a clock that we all have upstairs. In some of us, the time is set on fast but in others it’s a few minutes behind. Once you tap into your mental clock, and adjust the time to NOW, things will happen at a quicker pace. A great way to stay on course is note-taking. Always write ideas down. During my time as an entrepreneur, I’ve found pleasure in creating my own ideas. There’s nothing easy about brainstorming your next business or even partnership but it is possible. Be sure to pride yourself with having a strong work ethic. I’ve designed every product to grow wings of its own and to continuously grow without me. The world should know that about me and my journey, it’s different.
