We had the good fortune of connecting with Trionne Lane-Pollock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trionne, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I have always had a habit to help people anyway I could. I always felt defeated if I couldn’t help anyone. I first started out making products for family especially with my mom who’s had skin problems that store products weren’t helping with. After that I based my business purely on helping others with their skin ailments and I wanted to make them affordable enough to where anyone can purchase. I’m not looking to make money I’m looking to put a smile on people’s face. Because of the love, time and care that I put into everything I do it’s helped me to succeed and make products that people love and come back to.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I was younger I knew how to draw before I could write. I became an artist and I started off making unique food inspired candles that became really popular but wanted to expand. Although my business is not paint and paper I see it as a way to express my art in a form that others can actually use daily. I love creating my products to be colorful and to smell and look tasty but also include beneficial ingredients. There’s a lot of competitive business in the field of skin care and we basically make the same things. What sets us apart is quality and how appealing our products look and the love that they can feel was put in them. I have never been one to compete with other businesses. In fact I support and love to see other businesses do what they do. While some businesses may be in it just for the money, I do it because I love making my products and I put the customers above anything else. Trust me it was not easy seeing other businesses flourish and sell out while I always cherished the 1 or 2 orders I would get in a month. It still didn’t slow me down and it never will. I just want everyone to give my products a chance and see why I have great returning customers!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love doing random activities! Taking last minute trips was always a yes for me. Recently I took a random trip with some friends and we drove to the closest fun place around, Panama City Beach. Although we’ve taking trips to other places this place is always easier for us. We’d play games such as mini golf, visit the water park, walk on the pier, visit the museum’s, zoo, shop at the outlets, go to Dave and Buster’s or visit a new random place, the list is endless!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely have to thank God for gifting me with my business, I honestly had no intentions on starting and to this day have no other idea why I randomly decided to create anything. My parents and husband have always supported, guided and mentored me from the start. There were several times where I felt like giving up but they know my worth, value and love I have for my business. I also have a few supportive friends who have also been there from day one and brought some customers to me as well.
