We had the good fortune of connecting with Trinity Cox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trinity, what is the most important factor behind your success?
It is tough to choose just one. I would have to say transparency and expertise. When making content for my business page (TheDanceCareerCoach) I endeavor not to hold back. I mostly coach college and other pre-professional dancers on how to start and sustain a professional career. The education that is needed is not being said enough or loud enough. It is my belief that dancers have a better chance of thriving through the coaching I offer and content I create, when it remains honest, tested and true.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art tells the story of limits failing to exist. Concert dance is a huge part of my life and I have accepted that part of my DNA holds a “dance strand”. Of the things I have experienced thus far in my career I am most excited about the continuation of this journey. My path has been marked more than a handful of times, with historic people, places and events, things I could not have planed out more perfectly than they actually happened. It’s literally only up from here! It did not always feel easy, arriving to this current point but I continually keep the vision before me. I don’t get a chance to let the vision rest because I know just how valuable it is. From that I have learned that my path does not have to look like anyone else’s and that is what I want people to know about my story. As for Trinity, the brand, I want the world to know that history makers and earth shakers still exist at a high caliber and when you value the work of your craft, beauty and visibility can never escape you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Awe man! I’m not your average “I turn up” person. I’m pretty chill and really geek out on simplicity but here we go. Lol. For a week long trip, I’d ask if they’d want to take company class with me at Atlanta Ballet or Ballethnic Dance Company. Throughout the week we’d definitely go by The battery, probably meet up with some dance/college friends and make it a must to grab a coffee from Kupcakerie. We would also have to go hang out in Roswell because I am obsessed with that place. The most fun people to hang around are those who can make you laugh and don’t mind being spontaneous or adventurous, for sure!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow! There are so many phenomenal people I have been blessed to glean from and be nurtured by. However, these individuals have been pivotal in leading me to transformative thinking, mastering my artistry and craving teachability because my passion for dance continues to grow. Erin Jaffe-Gardner, Delores Brown, James Atkinson, Raven Wilkinson, Shirley Martin, Michael Medcalf and Luctricia Welters.
