We had the good fortune of connecting with Trinity Ashajlae and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trinity, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been my ability to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. On my journey, I’ve faced many hardships however, the hardships have molded me and taught me that it’s okay to have a setback. Most individuals have a goal of being successful yet the road we travel is different. When faced with obstacles it’s all about how you overcome them. My obstacles have allowed me to turn my pain into power. Therefore, the pain that has turned into power has given me my new life motto, “Never stay down too long”.

What should our readers know about your business?
ASHAJLAESKN is the brand I’m excited to build. In this world where there is so much self-hate, I felt there was a need to build self-esteem. As a result, I decided to start building this skincare line to help people love what they see in the mirror. I’ve been faced with many trials and tribulations building and perfecting my brand however I’ve learned to take my time, be patient, and trust the process.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were to visit, I’d take her to some of my favorite nature spots. There’s the bamboo forest or sweetwater creek; both are great and a vibe, honestly. We’d have a self-care day at Jeju Sauna and tour the aquarium and art museums. I’d also take her to the Beltline to enjoy the food and nature there. My favorite restaurants on the Beltline are Two Urban Licks and Bully Boy. I think I could convince her to climb Stone Mountain for a picnic and watch the sunset.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give all credit to God. I grew up in a church, knowing who God was, what he did, and how to build a relationship with him. Along this journey, I became a worldly person and lost myself and my focus. Shortly after I was humbled and faced with depression. I noticed the people that I thought supported and loved me simply didn’t. With constant prayer, I began to get back on the right path, do the right thing, and most importantly put my eyes back on the prize. When I hit rock bottom God gave me the strength to get back up. He put my broken pieces back together even better than they were before. I could not imagine my life without God. I am extremely grateful for the things he has done in my life.
