We had the good fortune of connecting with Tricia LaFrance and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tricia, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
1. Self-discipline.

When you have self-discipline, you’re able to do the hard stuff even if you don’t feel like it and when the going gets tough, you keep going.

2.Knowing my identity.

When I’m rooted in the God who created me, I’m confident in who I am in Him, as well as what He’s called me to do in this world!

3. Being genuine.

There will always be people who don’t care for you, your opinions or style.. but being genuine helps you attract people who love you for who you truly are.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Lots of prayer! Haha It definitely hasn’t always been easy … during the hard times, it makes you ask “is it worth it?” but if you’re doing what you love and absolutely know it is your calling, you’re in it for the ups & downs, knowing the downs won’t last forever!

Something I’ve learned along the way is that what started out as being something I loved doing because it was aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, ended up involving deep-rooted traumas in people’s lives that had such an impact that caused them to be “stuck.” I prefer one-on-one sessions where I get to know my client, what’s caused them to get there, what’s not working for them and then create a system that works for them! Some clients just want me to come in, organize & color code, which I love, as well!

What I want the world to know about my story is that no matter what you’ve gone through, how hard life has been for you, that if you’re breathing there is hope for you. It’s not too late. You’re not stuck; You’re one step away from being closer to the life you dream of. Don’t give up!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a foodie but I like to eat healthy so I feel well, at least most of the time 😉 I love organic, non-GMO, farm-to-table & zero waste restaurants! These are my favorite places— Hopdoddy, Phat Yuca, Upbeet, True Food Kitchen, Cristy’s Kitchen, TBH 122, Cultivate Food and Coffee, Miller Union, Five Daughter’s Bakery, Good Kitchen, & Zambawango (KETO!)..

Some of my favorite places are Ponce City Rooftop, The Painted Pin, The Beltline, Piedmont Park, Exhale Spa, ISI Elite Training, & Christ Covenant!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
1. God— for guidance and the next best step when I had no idea what I was doing!

2. My family & friends— for loving me & supporting my dreams!

3. My clients— for trusting me to come into their homes and help them get organized so they can have a better quality life moving forward!

4. Risa Williams— for designing my website!
