We had the good fortune of connecting with Trey Humphreys and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Very little thought. I like shiny objects and when I get interested in something, I automatically think “Why not start one”? All my businesses come from passions or activities I enjoy. If someone else can do it, well, I can do it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I wrote a book about love because I was on a journey to figure out love. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. One lesson I learned is happiness comes from doing hard things. Business is easy. Writing a book about love was brutal.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Best restaurant – Eats on Ponce Best bar – Claremont Lounge on a Tuesday afternoon
Best experience – The Battery & baseball game
Best Club – MJQ

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Success. A very interesting topic. What is success?

One man asked me one question that changed my life forever. His name was Jimmy Starnes.
