We had the good fortune of connecting with Trev Marxx and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trev, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose a creative career because I believe it is the career path that defines the person I am. I am an individual who comprehends and interacts with life artistically, spiritually, creatively, and critically. My desire to freely discover and express myself and what life means to me is what drives my creative interest. Art is a form of expression in which I am free to realize concepts from my own perspective and share them with the world. It is a space where people are allowed to openly express how they feel no matter the depth or subjectivity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My artistic style is very versatile. Most, if not all of my music is cultivated by moods, experiences, or relationships. I released two songs prior to my latest single “Grammy” and during those releases I wasn’t so sure those two songs were reflective of the quality music I could create. This led to me writing and recording several tracks I felt like I could be proud of sonically. As a result I released Grammy on November 11th, 2021. Just starting out, this has to be one of my proudest moments so far. Creating multiple tracks that I believed were genuinely really good songs was definitely challenging. The more I created the more I learned there was to do to perfect the quality of my music. Ultimately, I just didn’t stop studying, I kept believing, I kept practicing, and I ended up with some fire songs ready for plan and release.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
