We had the good fortune of connecting with Tres’ Moore and Jermaine Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tres’ and Jermaine, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor is passion! People often go into this industry chasing money! If the passion, and desire, and love is there, the money will come.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We believe what sets us apart is our unequivocal desire to give the best performance you have ever heard. All of the Tru Gentlemen team have a passion for what we do. Hard work and dedication is responsible for where we are today. Playing music as a career is not easy at all. There is indeed a physical and mental toll it can take on your body. But, the outcome is rewarding. There’s nothing better than seeing people enjoy themselves and what you do. A valuable lesson learned would be to never be complacent. Also, don’t pay attention to the negativity! TGLiVE is built to take you on an experience covering music from the past and the present that reminds you of good times and fun!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would direct them to go to www.tglive912.com. 9 times out of 10, Tru Gentlemen have a show somewhere and that’s a guaranteed good time! The Savannah area is packed with all kinds of entertainment, great food and an array of fun tourist and social attractions.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Salute to all the talented musicians, our squad! Rufus Bryant, IV, Darius Shepherd, Andrae Jackson, Eric Wilkerson! Awesome Team of Dawn Johnson and Latesha Habersham.
