We had the good fortune of connecting with Trenton Carson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trenton, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own video agency came from a mix of passion, vision, and wanting more control over my work. I had spent years working on video projects, and at a tv station learning how to tell great stories and use visual media to make an impact. But I always felt I could do more and bring something of my own to the industry.
The idea to start my own business began with the thought that I wanted a place where creativity could shine and every project was approached with fresh ideas and a drive for excellence. I saw that many small agencies were good at making videos, but they often lacked originality and emotional connection. I wanted to change that by combining great visuals with my form of storytelling.
Having my own business also meant I could control the creative process. Where I worked in the past, ideas can get lost in the shuffle. Starting my own agency ensured that every project kept its original spark of creativity. I also wanted to build a team of people who shared my passion for quality, creating a place where new ideas and creativity are not just welcomed but celebrated often.
Financial independence and the challenge of running my own business were big motivators too. Before, working hourly and salary, you knew the most money you could make that day, week, month and year, no matter how hard you worked. Being financially capped while striving to be the best, didn’t seem like the two could coexist. I wanted to create a business that could support me and my team while giving us the freedom to take risks and try new things. Building something from scratch, watching it grow, and knowing it came from my vision and hard work is incredibly rewarding.
In the end, starting my own video agency was about making my dream come true. It was about turning my love for video production and film into a successful business that makes a real difference. The journey has been tough (very tough), but it’s proven that with passion, a clear vision, and determination, you can create something truly amazing.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, a video production agency, is all about creating high-quality, impactful videos that tell stories and gets the results our clients are looking for. What sets us apart is our commitment to originality and emotional connection. We’re not just ANY video production company. We’re YOUR strategic partners dedicated to crafting tailored video marketing campaigns designed to propel your business forward.
I’m most proud of the way we combine stimulating visuals with the clients initiative to achieve remarkable results. Every project we take on is a chance to push creative boundaries and bring fresh ideas to life. I’m also incredibly proud of my team. They share my passion for excellence and creativity, and together, we’ve built an environment where innovation thrives.
Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy. Starting a business from scratch comes with many challenges. There were times when it feels overwhelming, but each obstacle is a learning opportunity. One of the biggest challenges was building a steady client base. It takes a lot of networking, perseverance, and delivering consistently high-quality work to gain trust and recognition.
To overcome these challenges, I focused on staying true to my vision and values. I believed in the importance of originality and emotional storytelling, and I made sure every project reflected that. I also invested in continuous learning and improvement, both for myself and my team, to stay ahead in a rapidly changing industry.
Some key lessons I’ve learned along the way include the importance of patience, resilience, and adaptability. Success doesn’t come overnight, and you have to be prepared to face a lot of setbacks and learn from them. Building strong relationships with clients and your team is also crucial; they are the backbone of your business.
What I want people to know about my brand and story is that we are driven by passion and a commitment to excellence. Our goal is to create videos that not only meet but exceed our clients’ expectations, leaving a meaningful impact. We are constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in video production, and we’re excited about the future and the new heights we can reach.
Our story is one of creativity, hard work, and a relentless pursuit of quality. We started from scratch, faced challenges head-on, and emerged stronger and more dedicated to our craft. We want to inspire others to follow their passions, stay true to their vision, and never stop striving for excellence.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s so much going on at all times, it’s hard to keep up. I tend to be in Marietta and Roswell the most. You have to go to an Alive at 5 in Roswell, those are always great. Hanging out at the Battery in Marietta or to see a Braves game is always exciting. Next would be Alpharetta and then Buckhead. Can’t go wrong there.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Being a business owner for over 12 years there’s been numerous influential people that has helped me along the way that deserves a shoutout. Far too many to name. I’ve had college professors, business coaches, professional and personal mentors that has helped me achieve success along the way. Business moves at the speed of relationships, networking and forming bonds over this journey has been far more important to growing a business.
