We had the good fortune of connecting with Trent Henderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trent, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel as is without risk there is no reward. If you dont experience risk taking you will never know the true outcome of something you may wish for or seek understanding about. Taking a risk started with me moving from Washington DC to Atlanta, GA back in 2017. When I say my life has changed; I now have a different perspective on how I view God and the things that occur throughout my lifes journey. Fast forwarding being in ATL for 3 years, I met a guy by the name of Victor Battle he was the one who ignited a fire in me to try acting out and after our convo about his talent firm in Long Beach, CA and what he did as a acting coach, before I knew it I was on a Zoom call auditioning for my first short film that was shooting in LA after I booked that so many more doors continued to open up. Today I am forever grateful

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work ethic sets me apart of others in the acting industry. I am more driven to tell stories, become what I desire to be as a representation of the craft, and create a legacy for my daughter. It is deeper than money for me I have intentionally to do what I do as an actor because I am a vessel of God who is being used by him to inspire others. This journey has not been easy at all, but lifes journey isn’t. God has our path set how he wants it to be and all we can do is trust him as he guides us through setbacks. I overcome challenges by training my mind to think positively even when khaos is happening, I also believe in myself as much as I believe in God and that is key! A valuable lesson I have learned throughout my life as a person of value is that it is ok to try new things, make mistakes, feel sad, feel discouraged, cry, etc… but through those ups and downs remember what the lesson taught you and TRY not to make the same mistake twice.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to some of my favorite areas in ATL which is Atlantic Station, I love pizza so we would have to go to Chicago Pizza and grab some authentic Chicago Pizza. I love attending Atlanta professional sporting events. I also enjoy going to pop up events and networking with other creatives around the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to start of by recognizing Victor Battle of Hoopshots in Long Beach, CA for jumpstarting me and giving me advice on how to get started in the acting industry. I also want to give thanks to my support system (my mom, dad, great grandma Lydia Short, all of my friends who have been on this life journey with me as i strive to create a legacy for my daughter.)
